Paderborn has a small airport (Paderborn Lippstadt Airport) with regular flights to and from the Munich International Airport, which can be reached from many international locations. If flights to Paderborn are too expensive, alternative options are to fly to the Düsseldorf Airport or the Hannover Airport because there are direct trains to Paderborn from both of these airports. Also the Frankfurt International Airport offers reasonable (but no direct) train connections to Paderborn.
Travel time by train:
Train tickets can either be purchased at the airport or online from the Deutsche Bahn.
From inside Germany it is recommended to use the train. Tickets can be purchased online from the Deutsche Bahn.
Every hour between 5 am and 8 pm there is an express bus from the Paderborn Lippstadt Airport to the Paderborn Main Railway Station. Information about the departure times can be found at the bus stop in front of the airport. A faster option is to use a taxi, which costs approx. 30 Euros.
Buslines 2, 7, 8, 12 and 68 regularly go from the main railway station (Hauptbahnhof) to the bus stop "Am Bogen" (which is at the corner of "Kasseler Straße" and "Am Busdorf" in the map shown at the venue webpage). The bus stop for these buses is on the same side of the street as the main railway station, to the right of it (to the left are taxis and bus stops for non-local destinations). From the stop "Am Bogen" it is only a short walk to the Aspethera hotel See the bus map for more details.
